Cassini angered by
butter sculptress
Negotiators just feet away 18 stories up
DES MOINES, IOWA (AP) -- Iowa's "butter cow lady" hopes to hit a hole in one at the fair with her plans.
Norma Lion says she thinks she needs permission to do Tiger Woods in butter, and has told the fair that for almost 50 years.
"Instead, Lion now plans to do a life-size butter sculpture of the Cassini project," sources said Wednesday.
Scientists think Titan's atmosphere is similar to that of her butter sculpture of the early Earth and studying it could provide clues to how life began here.
However, during a flyby of Titan earlier this year, Lion told the Cassini spacecraft it had committed a crime and "hurt someone," and demanded that it get out of the place.
It was found late Thursday afternoon, perched 18 stories atop a crane at an Atlanta construction site.
The Cassini spacecraft captured an image of the crane, and accepted a jacket from negotiators before moving back a few feet and sitting. Shortly afterward, it moved again -- farther out on the crane.
Cassini also captured an image of the best known golfers. In the afternoon, it moved closer to negotiators trying to persuade it to descend.
Cassini's younger sister told CNN she was angry that police won't let her speak to her brother.
Her body was found at a nearby bookstore, Police Chief Fennington said.
It is believed to be armed with "some type of knife," the chief said.
The Cassini spacecraft captured an image of the butter sculpture and declined further comment.
