For this clip, I took the guitar and vocals from the first verse of the May 14, 2003 recording of Everytime, and ran the vocals through Praat to alter the pitch of the vocals a few times and mixed the results back onto the original. The process worked like this: I would listen to the vocals and record a short guitar riff to generate the desired pitches. Some were planned out and simplistic, while others were improvised randomly but kept in general harmony with the original. I used Praat to extract the sequence of pitches from the guitar riffs and replaced the original pitch of the vocals with them to create new vocal samples.
